While most people think that the legend of the Vampire began with Vladimer the
Impaler turning into Dracula, they would be wrong. Dracula was born, or created rather,
many centuries before Vladimer was ever thought of. Many people just agree that the sadistic
nature of Vlad the Impaler made an easy excuse for the Catholics to blame the Devil for this
evil bestowed upon the world. But really, our story begins from another source, one more of
a Holy nature.
The year was 42 A.D., ten years after Christ was killed, and the Heavens were in
constant turmoil. Gabriel and Michael were constantly fighting due to the fact that after
man had crucified Christ, he no longer spoke to the Angels. Gabriel hated man, blaming them
for being cut off from God's graces, where Michael held no blame to anyone. Though he tried
and tried, Gabriel's plans always fell to Michael's wit and cunning. One day though, Gabriel
had a plan, to create a new creature, one who would show all of man's weaknesses and cravings
for sin. So he worked, day after day to create a creature of his liking. Many fell to Earth in
vain, the biggest of which he called Lycans, men breed with wolves. Finally, after centuries of
trail and error, he created a creature so evil, he was sure it would be the fall of man. So he
released it into the world, lusting for blood and craving flesh. It wasn't long before it
figured out how to multiply, soon overwhelming regions of the Middle East.
For many centuries, the Catholic church fought the creatures, calling them Vampires.
Holding them from the public eye was a trying affair, and heavy casualties were often taken.
In the year 246 A.D, the Cathotics finally had them at bay, hiding in the shadows. Michael came
forth, trying to rid the world of the vile it had upon it, but in vain. So, in an attempt to keep
them down longer, he made it so their skin could not take the rays of the Sun, to forever live in
darkness. As the years passed, the Church covered up all traces of them on this world, and
kept the history of the Vampires secret. Only select Elder Vampires still shared the stories of
their more lustful brethren, though now with the influx of rogues and newborns, the stories
of olde are quickly becoming forgotten. In 531 A.D., the five elders and clan leaders of the
race came together, forming plans and structure for their society, rules to follow and
guidelines. They designated a single group, called "The Eclipse", to watch over the Vampiric
world, with simple rules. There were to be three Elders, one to lead, and two to advise, and
every clan must have an advisor there to speak of the needs of the race. For well over a
millenia, this group held control, guiding the new Vampires to follow their ways, staying out
of the main public's eye.
But then came Rathos, nicknamed Redeemer, he was one who hated the humans for
everything they were. He believed they were nothing more then toys and food, not worthy of
controlling the planet. He thought since the Vampires were faster and stronger, that they
should rule the world. Quickly, he became high ranking within the Order, soon achieving a
spot as one of the three Elders. The other two, Haruki the Thoughtful, and High Master
Draconus, nicknamed Dragon, kept Rathos in check. Haruki only believed in making the world
better for Vampires, wishing to be able to walk side by side with humans. Draconus was a very
old Vampire, seeing it better to just remain how they have been for so long.
